Middle School
Our innovative Personalized Education Program (PEP) is a unique approach to educating middle school students. Its expanded academic curriculum encourages students to explore and pursue personal interests while fulfilling a challenging core curriculum. PEP gives our students an individualized educational experience within a school community committed to teaching cooperation, tolerance, and mutual respect.
PEP is a mixed-grade-level program offering courses in English, mathematics, general sciences, and social sciences as well as programs designed to engage students in performing arts, visual arts, foreign languages, computer science, and athletics. Students may also take high school level physics, algebra, biology and foreign language classes.
By extending learning opportunities beyond the classroom, we are able to provide students with a rich, diversified education. Students research at local libraries, explore museum exhibits, enjoy concerts, and attend theater productions. Grade 7 and 8 students travel annually to the Shaw and Stratford Festivals in Ontario, Canada, and tour the Welland Canal and Fort George.
